I think this man's posthumous teaching might well take my command of the language a step higher. Listening to him teach is like listening to your (German) Granddad, and he has a knack for making you able to speak quite a lot in no time at all. His method, which eschews any connotation of 'hard work', is based around the reality that active languages are actually very small, in terms of vocabulary, and you only need around 500 words to get by. He has tutored very high-profile figures; diplomats; industrialists and celebrities, for example: Woody Allen! To find out more, you might as well read the Wikipedia
